Swat, Kalam & Malam Jabba — 4 Days

Lahore travelers depart at midnight, arriving in Islamabad by 05:00 am. The drive from Islamabad begins at 07:30 am, winding north through the Swat motorway and into the valley. The first cultural stop is the White Palace at Murghazar — the elegant summer residence of the last Wali of Swat, set in a garden of roses and a clear mountain stream. Continue up the valley to Kalam, arriving early afternoon to the sight of pine-forested ridges and the rushing Swat River. Check in at Walnut Heights, take lunch, then walk through the nearby Ushu Forest before dinner.

A full day exploring the high country above Kalam. The morning begins in Ushu Forest — ancient deodar cedar trees lining the riverbank, with a short stop at a waterfall en route. The route then climbs toward Mahudand Lake, a pristine alpine lake at 2,900m framed by rocky peaks; the jeep road winds alongside the Ushu River through a gorge of extraordinary beauty. Lunch at the lake before the afternoon return to Kalam. Dinner and overnight at Walnut Heights.

After breakfast, check out and drive down the Swat Valley to Malam Jabba, Pakistan's premier ski and adventure resort at 2,800m. Lunch and check-in at PC Malam Jabba, then spend the afternoon on the slopes — chair lift rides with sweeping Hindu Kush panoramas, wall climbing on the resort's outdoor face, and the zip line across the snowfields. Watch the sunset from the ridge before a late dinner at the hotel.

After a leisurely breakfast at PC Malam Jabba, check out and begin the descent toward Islamabad. Stop for lunch at Fizagat, a riverside picnic park where the Swat River offers a tranquil final farewell to the mountains. Continue to Islamabad. Lahore travelers continue an additional 5 hours.
