Malam Jabba — 3 Days Winter Escape

Lahore travelers depart at midnight, arriving in Islamabad by 05:00 am. The convoy leaves Islamabad at 08:00 am, climbing into the Swat Valley via the Malakand Pass. After breakfast, check out and descend from the mountains. En route to Islamabad, stop at Takht Bahi — a remarkably well-preserved 1st-century Buddhist monastery perched on a hilltop in Mardan district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest Gandharan archaeological sites in South Asia. After a thorough exploration of the monks' cells, stupas and assembly halls, lunch in town before the final drive into Islamabad. Lahore travelers continue an additional 5 hours from Islamabad.
