Pakistan's most ambitious north–north grand tour: begin in the Kailash valleys of Chitral, cross the Shandoor Plateau to the emerald Phandar Lake in Ghizer, travel through Yasin and down the Karakoram to legendary Hunza — Attabad Lake, Khunjerab Pass, Baltit Fort — then descend via Babusar Top to Naran. Depart Islamabad at 06:00 am and drive via Dir and the Lowari Tunnel into Chitral. Continue directly to the Kailash valleys for an afternoon exploration — Museum, Kailashi homes, and a village walk. Drive north to Buni and check in to Best Western Buni for the night.
