Kirthar National Park

Kirthar National Park lies in the south west of Sindh, with an area of 3087 square km; it is home to wildlife species like Urial, Sindh Ibex, Chinkara Gazell, Indian Fox and Jackals. It is wide, rugged, featuring twisted and stony valleys of Kirthar Mountain range in between, stays arid throughout the year. But in monsoon its desert like horizons sprout with wild grass, adorned with numerous small ponds bringing life to thousands of species. There are also dozens of Gharials in a wildlife camp of Khar near hub dam, which is worth visiting or camping for a night which require special permissions. A jeep safari from Khar to Kharchat or Thano Bola Khan would be a immersive journey through the Park. Kirthar is tranquil, pristine and mystic; specially its sunset or sunrise make you wonder if it’s real or you were always in a dream. Post monsoon is the best time to visit.Read more
